My Reviews :)

So a week or so ago I had a bit of a splurge in Boots and I had a couple of
things that I wanted to update you on.

First off is the Maybelline Super Stay 7 days nail polish. Now I love this (a lot!) it is really easy to apply and two coats gives a great colour. It has a big brush so the application is easier, which is great for me as I am not great at it!

Now the thing that really impressed me is the staying power of this polish.
I am the sort of person that is not delicate with my hands, I wash up without
gloves and sometime at work I have to be a bit hands on and usually my nail
polish is lucky to last two days without chipping but as you can
see from the photo this was fantastic.
This was taken after I had the polish on for 6 days.

The other thing that I wanted to mention is the Benefit Bad Girl Lash.

I am a lover of the They're Real and I didn't really know much about the Bad Girl one.

I tried this on Friday night and I love it....so much.
It has a huge brush and applies so well and give me a real natural look to my lashes,
no clumping and it stayed on all night, so I will be buying this one again :)

What I use for those pesky spots....

So I thought I would share with you what I use on my blemishes and spots.

Now I was really lucky when I was younger as I didn't really suffer with acne
but my skin is now making up for it in my 30's!!!

I suffer less then I use to thanks to a better skin care routine but I still get
break outs, mainly on my chin and around my mouth but lately
they have been moving up my face to my cheek...

So I usually go in first with the Tea Tree (classic treatment) and this is something
that I generally use in the mornings after my cleanse but before I put on moisturiser
(although I generally try to not get the spots when I moisturise)

After taking off make up and doing the usually routine I will use the Clearasil at night.
This treatment is okay and feels like it is working but
I am not sure that it works in 4 hours but it does help my skin.

My favourite night time one is Sudocrem, now this is not very attractive
but I usually slap a load over the areas that need it and sleep like that (poor husband)

This really works for me and I can see the difference in the morning.
Also being that it is cheap and comes in big tubs, I love it :)

So what do you use or recommend?

Favourite Thing Thursday

So every Thursday I will be posting about my favourite thing of the week,
this could be a make up item, hair care, clothes, jewellery,
TV, books or even a human
(or anything that I have been loving that week)

So I thought that I would start this week off with my most favourite thing to me
and that is my husband Rob. He really is my soul mate
(I know sick buckets at the ready)

This was taken on our wedding day just over two years ago :)

He is my rock and I don't know what I would do without him.
He is always there for me and lets me spend our
spare money on make up and the such like!

He is really supportive of me doing anything that I want to do
and loves me for who I am
(even if I am being horrible to him)

Not that he reads this blog but I love you Rob and I always will...

Boots Haul!

So I was out with my husband the other day shopping (well going to Starbucks!) and we were passing Boots. I said to my husband that I didn't need anything today and he said
'what has need got to do with it'

He said that he would wait outside and let me have some time to look around......
great husband or what?

But oh dear, look what I bought!

First thing that I got drawn to was the Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Nail Polish. I has heard good things about this so naturally wanted to try some. The colour that I picked up was Surreal. You can find it here

So far I am really happy with this as it was easy to apply and seems to have
lasted well (so far!)

The next thing that caught my eye was the Revlon Highlighting Palette

This is beautiful and I fell in love at first swatch! It is really pretty for the summer and I can see me getting a lot of use out of this. It can be found here

As Revlon were doing buy one get one half price, I just had to choose something else!
So I went for the Lash Potion in waterproof

Not only does this have really pretty packaging but the wand is massive. I have used this once so far and like it as much as you can with one try.
This can be found here

Next I wanted to try the Sanctuary 5 minute thermal mask, so I picked up a sample one along with a hair mask.

The thermal mask is lovely if you like things that heat up on your face. I wasn't sure before I tried it but as soon as I put some on my hand it started to get hot but it is not uncomfortable and I liked it to be honest. Not sure if it was fantastic for my skin but I will be buying a tube and giving it a go, so I will keep you posted. I am yet to try the hair mask..

So I thought that was it until I was waiting in line to pay and then this happened

This was £9.95 and had always wanted to try the Pore fessional and the posie tint, so I thought this would be a good chance. Added to that the mascara and we are on to a winner.

I have tried the Pore Fessional and I love it, which I knew I would. I have also tried the Posie tint and I can't say that I am in love. I applied it by putting some on the back of my hand and blending it in with my fingers but I didn't love the results. It kind of stained the first part of my cheeks and nothing else, so any tips on applying it would be great.
Again I am yet to try the mascara but I will keep you posted.

Wow that was a long one, hope you are all still with me :)

Lemon Drizzle Cake!

So it was my mum's birthday party over the weekend and we had a lovely BBQ with all the family and friends and I decided that after watching
Vivianna Does Makeup ViviannaDoesMakeup doing a Lemon Drizzle Cake a few weeks back I have been dying to find a excuse to make it myself

I think it came out really well and if you are looking for a easy but tasty recipe
then give this one a go.

Asda Make-Up....

So while I was shopping in Asda the other day I came across their make-up section and stumbled across their own make-up brand.

I had heard of it before but had never tried any, so I decided to pick two bits up.

I went for the creme blush in Marshmallow (cute name!)

Now I was in the market for a creme blush and at around £2.50 I thought this was a good deal. I think that the colour is really cute and summery and also quite sheer
so not too tricky to use

The lipstick was in Blossom

Again I really like this as it is quite sheer on the lips but it is a lovely colour and great for the summer. At again around the £2.50 ish mark you can't go wrong.

So what do you guys think? Anything else I should try?
